Tamisiocaris borealis, a new, giant shrimplike fossil has been found in Greenland that is said to date back on the Cambrian period (540 to 493 million years).
Before the Cambrian period, most life forms are said to be existent in bacterial forms or microbial mats, but during the Cambrian, complex life forms began to exist that involves parts like exoskeletons, compound eyes, antennae, and jointed limbs.
